“Tina” a soapstone carving

I created this piece, one of my first experiments with soapstone, in 1998.It was made as gift for my girlfriend at the time so I believe Tina is the obvious name for this piece. It’s currently in her collection where it will stay.
Soapstone is very easy to carve but precarious, best to grab two stones, one to fuck up and learn, one for your piece.I used a set of odd shaped X-acto knives which you can grab at Home Depot and places like that, a Dremel isn’t a bad idea either.
